Summer Fashion Trends 2019
We blinked and somehow we’re halfway through Summer already. Time flies when you’re having fun, but do you spend too much time in front of the mirror trying to figure out what’s ‘cool’ this fashion season instead of creating memories with friends and family? Well, don’t worry, I’ve got your back. Here are the hottest trends this Summer to keep you looking cool:
We’re going back to the 60s because tie-dye is all the rage in 2019. Shopping app LiketoKnow.it reveals that searches for 'tie-dye shirts' are up 900 percent this month compared to May. This means that you better dig through your closet and find your old DIY tie-dye tees from years ago (I can’t be the only one who did that) or try tie-dyed denim. Fashion experts aren’t stopping with t-shirts though, and there is a tie-dye version of every article of clothing this summer. Throw on a tie-dye kimono over your swimwear at the beach or even better, rock that tie-dye bikini!
Silk Camisoles are perfect for hot summer days. They are light, cool, and make you look feminine and flattering. Silk Camis are so versatile and can be worn during the day with sneakers and a hat, or to a Gala with stilettos. The next time you wake up feeling like you’re standing on the face of the sun, try wearing an ankle length dress with a sleek line that frames and enhances the body. Not only will it keep you cool but you’ll be stunning wherever you go.
No one would ever want to be caught wearing biker shorts, that is until social media celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Bella Hadid started wearing them this summer. These comfy shorts end just above the knee. It’s elastic fabric helps you stay cool while not feeling overly exposed. While biker shorts have a more athletic feel, for a more sophisticated look, fashion experts are pairing them with suits.
Extra Hair Tie
When it’s hot and you’re sweating, the last thing you want is your hair sticking to your neck while you’re trying to get things done. So, of course, you pull out your trusty hair ties and put your hair in a high ponytail. Well, this summer, no longer are we only tying our hair with scrunchies. No, no, no. This year, we are going extra. Pull out that drawer of scarves that you never touch, and get ready to add a little flair to your hair. Not only is it practical, but it helps pull your outfit together and make you look more classy.
We might be halfway through summer 2019, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t find ways to dress in the latest trends. All it takes is a little creativity and knowledge (which you now have!)
Have fun styling those biker shorts, tie-dye tees, silky camisoles, and extra ponytails, but maybe not all in one outfit...
