Watch out Diane. Move over Donna. There’s a new young fashion designer on the scene and her concept of accessibly-priced made to measure women's clothing is turning heads.

Meet Lauren Gabrielson. The 23-year old entrepreneur is the owner/designer of her self titled women's clothing line "Lauren Gabrielson"

She spent her initial years in New York City working as an assistant designer for the sister to Tommy Hilfiger, Ginny and her line Ginny H. During this time Lauren developed an appreciation for better quality fabrics, Her line was started to bring women unique yet classic styles in the best quality fabrics possible. In an industry where most design houses make their clothing overseas potentially lacking both quality and hand feel, Lauren decided to venture on her own to create the best quality garments possible. Lauren designs and produces everything in New York. Allowing this designer to visit her factories each day and oversee production.

Her signature pieces include a layered chiffon dress that promises to be as iconic as “the wrap” and sexy, lace-embellished evening wear that is evocative of lingerie. Other must haves are her sharp pencil skirts, buttery-soft leather jackets and a collection of curvy dresses that can go effortlessly from the board room to the ball room.

What makes Lauren’s so unique is the fact that in addition to her well stocked stores, her clothing can be custom made to customer’s specifications, so no two pieces or people need be alike. These beautiful designs are available in about two weeks from the time an order is placed, and they are well priced.

Lauren opened her first store in Sag Harbor for the summer of 2010, an intimate fashion destination unlike any other found in the Hamptons. Her feminine designs, all as sumptuous and mouth-watering as the season’s juiciest local peaches, are inspired by the silky elegance of vintage lingerie.

Lauren is now focused on her New York market, bringing her things to customers via private appointment, trunk shows in the Hamptons and the all new downtown boutique located in Soho/Nolita.
